Today Marvel has announced that The Marvels, the sequel to the hit movie Captain Marvel, which features Monica Rambeau from WandaVison, Kamala Kahn from her show, Ms. Marvel, and of course Captain Marvel herslef has been delayed.
The movie was originally slotted to release on July 28th of this year. It is now set to be released on November 10th of this year, nearly a four month delay.
There is some good news for Marvel fans though. Along with the announcement of the delay Marvel has released the first poster for the upcoming movie. See it below.

Other Delays
However, it seems that The Marvels May not be the only project being delayed. Recently news broke that Loki season two and Secret Invasion may be the only two MCU series to release this year. X-men 97' The Animated Series, a continuation of the original television series is also set to release this year, however it's connection to the MCU is minimal at best.
This means that the shows Echo and Ironheart have most likely been delayed until next year. Even more, Kevin Keige, head of Marvel Studios, has said this.
"The pace at which we're putting out the Disney+ shows will change so they can each get a chance to shine." - Kevin Feige
So what does this mean?
It is obvious that Marvel has heard what many fans have been saying. Quality over quantity. Fans have noticed a steady decline in the quality of Marvels movies and series alike since Avengers: Endgame released in 2019. Many believe the culprit to be overworked writers, actors, vfx artists, and everyone in between.
Hopefully Marvel is going in the right direction by slowing down. Although some fans may be upset by less Marvel, hopefully this means that what Marvel releases in the future will be able to meet the expectations of fans.
